From Potsdamer Platz, stroll down Potsdamer Strasse to discover an intriguing and dynamic street. Pass (or visit) the Kulturforum, a series of museums including the beautiful New National Gallery designed by famed architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Continue south over one of Berlin's many canals to the Wintergarten Varieté vaudeville theater, an ode to the roaring twenties Wintergarten on Friedrichstraße with its interior of mirrored walls and dark-red velvet. If you don't stop for a show, be sure to pop into one of the many new galleries which have resettled this neighborhood. At some point re-energize with traditional German, Nigerian, or Middle Eastern food, it's all there and more!
