Vivant first opened in 2011, then changed hands to David Lanher of Racine and Stern Caffè. The redesign put a heavier focus on seasonal ingredients, particularly of the veggie variety. There's still plenty of meat and cheese, of course -- no worries there, this is France after all!
The food is great, but be aware before visiting that the space is small, seating only about two dozen at full capacity. So you may be looking at a significant wait without a reservation at best, or being turned away at worst. Also be aware that not all of the staff speak English.
