Located on the opposite side of the Seine from the Eiffel Tower, the Trocadéro is a focal point for Parisian tourists, and a great spot for photos of the Eiffel Tower. Built as a monument to a French victory, the Trocadéro now conatains three museums, beautiful gardens, and several fountains. Climb the steps up to the Palais de Chaillot and enjoy the view of the gardens and fountains that lead up to the Eiffel Tower. The Palais de Chaillot, built for the International Exposition of 1937, is located at the far end of the Trocadéro and contains three museums including the naval, ethnology, and national monument museums.
