The Highlander is perfectly located on the left bank in the center of Paris just opposite the Pont Neuf bridge. The pub has two bars on two floors, each with it's own unique atmosphere. The upper floor is decorated as a Highland Cottage with its traditional woodwork and décor, while the cellar is decorated in a medival motif with swords, shields and claymores. The pub holds open mic nights for musicians every Wednesday night where each act is allowed to play three songs for the enjoyment of the crowd. The Highlander has also recently started having a Pub Quiz on Sunday night and a Music Quiz on Monday nights. The prizes are of course awarded in liquid form for 1st and 2nd place. The Highlander also has an extensive whiskey menu for its customers to peruse.
