A local institution since 1885, this serious wine bar consists of a high quality wine list, food sourced from a few excellent producers, knowledgeable staff, and a casual no-frills décor. The wine that Henri IV is so well-known for is purchased directly from the vineyards and includes Crémant, Beaujolais, and Alsace varieties. Alongside the extensive wine list is a selection of tartines (open sandwiches), charcuterie (cold cooked meats) and cheese platters. Feel free to ask the staff for a choice of wine or "what's good today," as three special dishes are added to the menu daily. Though in a touristy location, Henri IV is mostly frequented by locals and lawyers from the nearby Palais de Justice.
