Fashion and Falafel

The Rue des Rosiers is historically known as a Jewish neighborhood; however, over the years, the area has evolved to include some great shopping. Kosher restaurants, bakeries, and synagogues are mixed amongst small boutiques and modern galleries. While you're here, don't pass up the opportunity to taste some authentic Middle Eastern and Jewish cuisine, the scent of chickpea falafel wafts down the street during lunch time, making it hard to pass up.

Utrip Tips

* Try L'as du Fallafel for falafel and lemonade and Sacha Finkelsztajn for baked goods.
*Shops are opened on Sundays in this neighborhood unlike most other shopping districts in the city. However, the Jewish shops will likely be closed on Saturdays instead.
