Swim by the Seine

Part of the Paris Plage (the artificial Paris beach) the Piscine Joséphine Baker is a swimming pool, which was built on a barge on the Seine River. While it wouldn’t be the best idea in the world to swim in the river itself, the pool can hold up to 350 people (don’t worry it’s got a reputation for being clean, we promise) at a time. The pool is open year round with a retractable roof that slides back to let in the summer sun and closes whenever the temperature drops or the sky starts to darken.
