The Olympia Hall has seen many ups and downs over the past century, but its reputation within the music world is legendary. Opened in 1889 by Joseph Oller, the same person who made the Moulin Rouge, Olympia Hall is the first music-hall in Paris and is the site of music history. Besides hosting a large variety of international artists, Olympia helped launched the career of famous Francophone singers Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel. Today the Olympia is still used as a music hall by artists from around the world.
