Notre Dame Cathedral has been a landmark in Paris since its initial construction in 1163. Located on l'Île de la Cité, the cathedral is widely considered one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in the world. Notre Dame is home to a lot of history, but it's also an active Catholic church that holds four masses every day. Anyone is welcome to participate, or you can just check out the beautiful paintings, architecture, sculptures, and stained glass windows. Powerful organ concerts and other musical events are regularly held at the cathedral. Check the website for details.
