17th Century Asian Art

This museum has a collection of art from Asia that encompasses nearly 7000 individual items. The collection is made up of mostly Chinese and Japanese art from the 17th to the 19th century, but also includes art from outside those countries and centuries. The collection was started by Madame d'Ennery as a way to invest her fortune in something she cared about and wanted to preserve. The artifacts and artwork are presented in showcases with mother of pearl inlays and hold things such as dolls, figurine, lacquer work, and carvings.
