The Musée de l'Armée is a museum at Les Invalides. Originally built as a hospital and home for disabled soldiers by Louis XIV, it now houses an extensive military museum that traces the history and technology of the French Army. One of the most notable attractions at The Musée de l'Armée is the Tomb of Napoleon which brings in visitors from around the world. The museum was originally comprised of two separate military museums, the Musée d'Artillerie and the Musée Historique de l'Armée but they were merged together in 1905 creating a complete and extensive museum that covered both the history and the weaponry of the French military over hundreds of years.
