Folk-Art Mecca

The Musée d'Art Naïf - Max Fourny is a museum for those looking for art outside the run of the mill. The museum creates a space where naïve, outsider, folk, and raw art can be shown. The museum was founded by Max Fourny and his wife in 1986 at the bottom of Montmartre in the place of a former market from the mid 19th century. The museum contains around 600 individual items in different forms of art from painting, to sculpture, to glass. The museum also has a history of holding entertaining concerts, speakers, and conferences.
