A lesser known flea market, Marché aux Puces de Montreuil can be a fantastic bargain hunt, since it’s off the beaten path for most tourists prices are not inflated. You’ll find everything you could ever want including vintage clothes, yarn and other crafting goods, animal figurines, pottery, clocks, designer items, engravings, jewelry, linen, appliances, cutlery, and furniture. There are even a few fantastic ethnic food stands where you can get delicious grub for as cheap as a couple euros. You’ll have to be patient to sift through the sellers, many of the vendors sell subpar merchandise; however the best stalls are along the periphérique. Be sure to haggle with your best French!
