Politics circa 1357

The Hôtel de Ville, or City Hall, is the building housing the City of Paris' administration. Standing on the place de l'Hôtel de Ville in the city's 4th arrondissement, it has been the location of the municipality of Paris since 1357. Not only does it house the local administration, but it also serves as a venue for large receptions. Since the French Revolution, this site has seen hundreds of major historical events, including the famous speech by Charles de Gaulle during the liberation of Paris in 1944. Visit this location day or night to experience the amazing fountains and lighting it has to offer to those strolling by.
