Situated near the Ritz Hotel’s Vendome entrance, this bar is an echo to Parisian grandeur. And an affinity for alcohol. Opened in 1962 by Charles Ritz, the bar is a testament to high society in its high ceilings, light menu, teatime piano music, and pricey cocktails. The mixed drinks are presented artfully and the service earns its praises from locals and travelers. It’s not unreasonable to expect an older crowd. Regardless, eating and drinking at Bar Vendome is a step into a different time.
