A favorite of both locals and visitors, the celebrated Promenade des Anglais attracts everyone from runners to relaxation seekers, as it hugs the seashore for several scenic miles. This boardwalk provides the ideal vantage point from which to drink in the unending expanse of sapphire blue that stretches out lazily into the horizon’s infinity. The modern day Promenade was born into it's current form in 1822 when Lewis Way, an Englishman who lived in Nice during the winter, decided to finance the path.
