One of the smaller museums in Helsinki, the Amos Anderson Art Museum is a bit hard to find at first, as it is located behind a bustling shopping center. The Amos is well worth finding, however, if you wish to browse a nice collection of modern art. Exhibitions here are known to change regularly, so each visit to this private gallery and museum can be a different experience.
The museum is actually an old six-story house with a small restored chapel upstairs. The Amos Anderson Art Museum offers a pleasant retreat from the clean albeit crowded streets of downtown Helsinki.
