As Unique as the Name

The Saatchi Gallery opened in 2008 named after the famous art lover Charles Saatchi. Saatchi gained famed after his promotion of the Young British Artists, which included Damien Hirst. So it’s no real surprise that the Gallery is mostly made up of contemporary art, but unlike other art galleries, Saatchi provides young artists the chance to display their works—even if they haven't reached "emerging" status. Due to this many artists can now credit their careers to Saatchi Gallery. Art lover or not, Saatchi is a great way to spend an afternoon—and admission to all exhibits (including the temporary ones) is free.
