Everything but the Pyramids

Offering one of the largest collections of Egyptian and Sudanese archaeology in the world, The Petrie Museum houses an estimated 80,000 objects that illustrate previous life in the Nile Valley from prehistory through the time of the pharaohs, to the Islamic period. At the museum, visitors can view colorful tiles, carvings, and other burial site decor, as well as Roman period mummy portraits from the 1st and 2nd century AD.
