Any Harry Potter fan is very familiar with the secret Platform 9 ¾ at King’s Cross railway station, as it is the magical entrance onto the platform where students then board the Hogwarts Express. In the books/movies, Harry and friends push their luggage trolleys directly through the brick wall separating platforms 9 and 10 (hence, the magical platform’s name), but in reality, train tracks divide the two platforms. Due to renovations, it has moved around, though just past the entrance to platforms 9 through 11, you will find it. A luggage cart, seemingly frozen in time, passing through a brick wall, below a sign that reads: “Platform 9 ¾.” If you read the books or know of the world’s most famous wizard, you must stop by because the experience is rather, well, magical.
