Having moved to London from southwest Germany's Black Forest, the owners Florian and Azadeh started to miss the traditional sausages available at every turn. Motivated by a passion for food, they were inspired to set up a business selling sausages imported from their local butcher in Germany. Rising popularity led the team to purchase trailers from which to sell sausages at music festivals. Since opening its first shop in 2010, Herman ze German has been a roaring success, combining a festive spirit with a good dose of quirky humor. If you've never tried currywurst, you can't do much better than Herman's. It's a simple meal made up of chopped sausage and your choice of mild, hot, or burner sauce, so just add some fries or potato salad for a fulfilling and fairly priced meal.
