Wacky-looking solenodons and charismatic dolphins, yes, but among the D.R.'s mammals you won't find any native monkeys. That said, Monkeyland has a whole gaggle of them enjoying five acres of natural habitat--and showing off in the cute department for any and all visitors.
The primates in question are squirrel monkeys, widespread on the Central and South American continent and as nimble and brainy as they come. You're not just admiring these long-tailed leapers from a distance, either: Monkeyland lets you feed the little buggers, accustomed to clambering all over you as they queue up for nibbles.
