The Laboring Class, Documented and Exhibited

The Nordic Model of labor and economics is the theme of the Worker's Museum (Arbejdermuseet) in Copenhagen. Supported by the Danish Federation of Trade Unions, this small but unique museum, library and archive concentrates on the history of the working class of Denmark from the 1850s through the present day. Their permanent exhibitions include a description of the life of the Sorensens, a Copenhagen working-class family through three generations. There is also a display of how the worldwide Great Depression of the 1930s affected Denmark.
