Wenceslas Square is a meeting place in Prague, centrally located on the east side of the river just south of the Old Town Square in Prague's New Town. Wenceslas Square is not so much a square as much as a long boulevard that is capped off by the beautiful Czech National Museum. You will find lots of shopping, cafes, and restaurants, as well as many street vendors selling traditional Czech food, pizza, and more. During the winter, a Christmas Market is held here featuring a large Christmas tree and lots of street vendors. Historically the square has been a place of many political demonstrations and celebrations.
