House of Wax, Sans the Horror

Like when your parents sat you down and told you Santa Claus was really just Tim Allen in disguise, we too are sorry to burst your bubble, but this Mick Jagger is actually just made of candle drippings. With over 48 different contemporary and historical figures, Prague’s wax museum offers a chance to get up close and personal with some of the worlds most influential people. Featuring a heavy dose of famous Czechs, perhaps the most unique collection here is the Tribune to Dictators starring Stalin, Chruschtschov, and Mao Tse-Tung just to name a few. Note that the Mostecka location specializes in early historical events whereas the Melantrichova Street location offers exhibits featuring events from the 19th century to modern times.
