For the Philatelists

This museum is a treasure trove of postal history and paraphernalia. Within the stark white walls of the so-called Vávra’s House, a former miller's residence, visitors can take a guided tour of the exposition of Czechoslovak, Czech, and foreign stamps on the ground floor, and postal history and stamp design exhibitions on the first floor. Watch out for the period postal uniforms, mail and letter boxes, telegraph and telephone mechanisms, a mail coach, and the amazing 1847 murals by leading Czech painter Josef Navrátil.
