There are many shop windows to glance at when climbing up picturesque Nerudova Street. One of them however, doesn’t offer the usual sight of clusters of puppets or jewelry in its windows. In the Golden Lion house you can find the Dittrich Pharmacy which is home to the National Museum’s exhibition of the pharmacy culture in the Czech lands from Renaissance to the 19th century. Thanks to generous contributions by Czech pharmacists, this 100-year-old collection contains several thousand items. The interior of the pharmacy is furnished with original equipment dating back to 1821and is the oldest surviving pharmacy interior in Prague.
