Tugboat's among the most celebrated dive and snorkeling locations in all of Curacao. Situated along a bustling shore southeast of Jan Thiel, the site's anchored (so to speak) by the hulk of a tugboat that accidentally sank in a mere 17 feet or so of water. Now tattooed with corals and sea sponges and typically patrolled by scads of colorful Caribbean fish, the Tugboat proper, accessed either by shore or boat, makes a fine destination for novice divers and snorkelers.
There's actually more to see in the vicinity than just the wreck itself. Divers can roam an impressive variety of reef habitats, from coral flats to a plunging wall that could turn up sightings of deeper-water critters.
