Roman Catholic Plateresque Cathedral

Whether you come here for services or simply to see the beautiful exterior and interior, this Roman Catholic church in Willemstad is a shining example of architecture on the island. Built in 1926, the beautiful exterior is complemented by an interior adorned with many religious statues.

The cathedral was constructed in the Spanish Plateresque style, an architectural style prominent in Spain in the 15th and 16th centuries, characterized by the intricate relief ornament applied to the exterior surface of the buildings. The church, located in the historic Willemstad, offers services throughout the week, mainly in the mornings.
