Nobody knows how old the Landhuis Bloemhof, the land house for the small Bloemhof plantation, is exactly, but parts of the structure anyway date to at least 1735. Gorgeously restored and registered as one of Curacao's official national monuments, Bloemhof isn't simply a museum piece: It's also a dynamic modern cultural center.
Landhuis Bloemhof is now home to the lovingly preserved studio of artist May Henriquez, an art gallery, a workshop space, and, in the historic plantation barn and warehouse (or mangazina), a library dedicated to art topics and much else on Curacaoan culture.
