Doesn't Look Its Age

Set inside Punda's Fort Amsterdam—the onetime Curacao HQ for the Dutch West India Company—Fortchurch, which dates from the 1760s, stands as Curacao's oldest church. Orange, red, and white, it's a striking structure, all the more so when you notice the British cannonball lodged in its outside wall: a little insult suffered back in 1804.

Today, the Fortchurch houses in its old vestry the Protestant Cultural Historical Museum, which impresses visitors with its centuries-old Dutch Protestant artifacts (including a mahogany-hewn bible table and ornate silver chalices), a slew of vintage Curacao maps, and other collections.
