Equus is a local, favorite on Curacao. Only open on Fridays, this popular skewers restaurant is located in a stable of a small horse farm, hence its name. There is no silverware, no plates, and no menu at Equus.
So how is it a restaurant? Don't you worry - the food is the feature at Equus. Chicken and beef kebabs are barbecued over hot coals and delivered to you hot and juicy. These skewers are hung over candlelit picnic tables and no forks or knives are needed when you can eat right off the stick.
If you prefer something a little more modern, Equus probably isn't the place for you. But it is an experience, and an amazing and delicious one at that, so if you want to dive into Curacao's culture, head to the restaurant early because there could be a line.
