Ploče Gate was once known as the Gate of St. Luka. This gate provides an easy side entrance to the Old Town of Dubrovnik and dates to the sixteenth century. As an old landmark of the city, it is regularly featured on tours of the city and is a popular tourist attraction.
The impressive arch is a great place to take a photo. You'll also want to glance up at the nearby Asimov Tower that rises above its entrance. This route into the city is quite beautiful and should not be missed if you are nearby.
