Cliff Hanging View

Hanging on the side of a cliff above the Adriatic Sea is one of the most famous cafes you may never have heard of. Buža Bar, which the locals call the "hole in the wall," offers spectacular albeit somewhat scary views of the blue Adriatic Sea.

Buža Bar also offers refreshments that are on the pricey side, but entirely worth it. And about that scary view-- don't worry. Buža Bar is architecturally sound and has been a preferred tourist destination for many years. Just don't be surprised when a merry local shouts "Dobrodošli na Bužu!" It means welcome to Dubrovnik.

Utrip Tips

*While the view is amazing, locals enjoy coming here to have a cold drink then jump off the cliff into the water below.

*This place is very difficult to find and can be accessed by a small hole in the wall (hence the name Buža which literally means hole in the wall). Some locals recommend that you follow the signs for "Cold Drinks".

*Be aware that there are multiple Buža Bars, but the original, along the southern wall of the old town, is the local favorite.
