Dedicated to the Immortal Wong, a central figure in the Taoist tradition, the Wong Tai Sin Temple is one of the most popular temples in Hong Kong. Its magnificent architecture and grounds make it one of the gems of the city. Established in the early 20th century, it is easily accessible via the MTR mass transit system. The temple is gorgeous on its own, but also serves as an educational stop for Toaist philosophy for visitors to Hong Kong. Although Wong Tai Sin is best known for his lesson, "What you request is what you get," he is also remembered for punishing evils, healing the wounded and rescuing the dying. The temple complex is very popular, so be prepared for crowds.
