In the midst of one of the most populated places on the planet is... an oasis of green and peace. Hong Kong Park was established in 1991, a space of nearly 20 acres, in the middle of this seemingly over-crowded city. If you are visiting Hong Kong and want to take a break from the sheer humanity of it all, take some time to visit the fountains, lily ponds, aviary (with more than 80 species of birds) and even the playgrounds. The park also includes the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre and the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware. Every Wednesday morning, you can also take a free guided birding tour of the park, led by members of the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society.
