The dramatic geology of Hong Kong's islands and peninsulas is remarkable, but most visitors (and even residents) may not appreciate just how special the rocks beneath their feet really are. This park - actually several small islands and other areas set aside for the geopark - was created to conserve the unique landforms and landscape of the region, while preserving habitat for wildlife. The park system is very accessible and well-managed. Guided tours, often by boat, are available, plus excursions for hiking and wildlife watching can be scheduled.
