The Royal & McPherson Theatres Society is a non-profit organization that operates two of Victoria's favorite theatres: the 1,416-seat Royal Theatre and the smaller, 772-seat McPherson Theatre. The Royal Theatre opened in 1913, and still sports its original Rococo/Renaissance Revival décor. Here, you'll see an endless rotation of touring and local performances, including those by the Victoria Symphony and Pacific Opera Victoria, both of which call The Royal Theatre home. The McPherson theatre features professional, community, and amateur performances. Both theatres feature a bar and offer concessions.
*Be sure to double check the time and location of the shows; they do vary (but the theatres aren't very far apart). Our location is for the McPherson Playhouse, but there are also performances at the Royal Theatre.
