A Glimpse of History

Many travelers love to visit the Government House when they are in town. The grounds are open to the public during daylight hours and are free to visit. There are guided tours available on one Saturday per month. Visitors will enjoy witnessing the interior and popular features like the Ball Room if they are able to attend a tour. The gardens are a popular attraction of the grounds and fun to tour. Garden highlights include the extraordinary Victorian rose garden and the spectacular sunken rose garden. Be sure to visit the celebrated Tea Room and the Cary Castle Mews Interpretive Centre.
