Experience the seedier side of Vancouver's history with a visit to the Vancouver Police Museum. Established in 1986, the specialty museum was created to celebrate the centennial of the Vancouver Police Department and the city itself.
Although not affiliated, sponsored, or run by the police department, its permanent China Town home is the historic building which once served as the Coroner's Court and autopsy facilities, as well as the City Crime laboratory.
More than 20,000 artifacts, documents, and photos are waiting to be discovered via a group or self-guided tour. And the newest exhibit, Bridging the Gap, via vibrant graffiti displays and interactive historical crime era lessons from the 1950s through the 2010s. It's an arresting adventure for all.
