Dive into Vancouver's Maritime History

Dive into the city's history and explore its icy depths at the Vancouver Maritime Museum. The specialty museum was built in 1959 as a centennial project and is easily accessed on the Vancouver waterfront in Vanier Park.

Its mission is to celebrate the oceans and waterways central to Vancouver's history and future growth through the preservation, enjoyment, and education surrounding the museum's exhibitions and research center.

Though the family friendly maritime museum has multiple exhibits for all ages, its main exhibit is the St. Roch historic site - home of the historic vessel used by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Come experience the chills and thrills of the Pacific Northwest.
