Vancouver's oldest vegetarian restaurant is popular even with many (not all!) carnivores. There are people who will never accept that a plate without meat on it is actually a meal. But The Naam has converted many doubters on the subject with its generous, satisfying portions that don't leave meat-eaters with the nagging feeling that they haven't really eaten.
The café is open and busy 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 364 days a year (closed on Christmas day). It provides both vegetarian and vegan food, and accommodates special dietary needs. It has to be said, the service is laid-back and you may have to wait a little while for your food, but it's reputed to be well worth the wait.
