Embrace Christmas cheer with wide-open arms at the Rogers Santa Clause Parade, one of Vancouver's major seasonal jubilees. Hundreds of thousands come to watch the spectacle, which sees marching bands, holiday floats, and--of course--old Saint Nick himself wend their way through downtown. Besides the parade proper, there are all kinds of family-friendly attractions at Christmas Square, from live music and gingerbread decorating to a station for scribbling those all-important letters to Santa Claus.
The Santa Claus Parade celebrates the spirit of giving by collecting non-perishable food and monetary donations for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. So come down to see Kris Kringle make his grand downtown entrance, and contribute to a mighty good cause while you enjoy the show.
