Hometown pride pervades Parallel 49 Brewing Company, established by a trio of beer-crazy East Vancouver natives (plus a couple of partners) in the neighborhood they grew up in. The microbrewery puts out a delightful range of top-shelf brews, from year-round staples like Gypsy Tears Ruby Ale and Filthy Dirty IPA to seasonal favorites and barrel-aged heavyweights.
The Parallel 49 tasting room's the place to go to sample the brewery's tried-and-true beers and experimental releases alike--and to purchase a bottle or two or fill up a friendly growler. No exploration of the local craft-beer scene is complete without a visit.
