Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble

Vancouver was the site of the 2010 Winter Olympics, and the Olympic Cauldron took center stage at the Opening and Closing Ceremony. Located next to the convention center, the cauldron is a beautiful piece of architecture and a great cultural item.

The cauldron looks like ice pillars that are melting into a large fountain underneath. At night, the pillars are lit to enhance that effect. The location also offers a great view of the harbor. The Olympic Cauldron is a great reminder of Vancouver's ability to bring together the world and showcase Canada's greatness and beauty.
