June marks Greek Heritage Month in Vancouver and if you find yourself in this lovely city at this time of year, the celebrations culminate at the end of the month with Greek Day. This one-day annual festival takes place on West Broadway and offers food and entertainment Greek style.
The event is free to attend and all proceeds are used to benefit charities who contribute to the advancement of Greek culture and heritage. Along with an assortment of Greek food, the festival offers entertainment and activities from music, dancing, performance and wine tastings all focusing on Greek culture. The festival even has a kid's zone where face painting, bouncy castle jumping, and learning the Greek alphabet all vie for the little ones' attention.
