Cultural Island Delight

Imagine an island in the middle of a city and you have Granville Island. Located just across False Creek from downtown Vancouver, Granville Island is a popular shopping district for locals and visitors alike. Roam the island's cobblestone streets and explore all it has to offer while you're being entertained by the many buskers performing.

There's always something interesting to do, from grabbing a bite at some of the excellent restaurants, cafés, and eateries, to exploring the local public markets offering fresh produce and seafood from some of the area's best farmers, bakers, butchers, and fishmongers. There are also plenty of arts and crafts at the markets too.

Granville Island is also the home of several excellent breweries, bars, and pubs, and is a unique haven for creativity, showcasing such an eclectic combination of festivals, theatres, performers, galleries, art exhibits, and studios.
