Get away from the bustling city with a day out in Mount Seymour Provincial Park, and walk the trails to Goldie and Flower Lakes. Hike from the upper parking lot, and you'll discover well maintained paths, subalpine meadows, interesting bogs and ponds, and clear, crisp lakes. You may even spot tracks made by the local wild animals, and you'll see plenty of birds.
The Goldie Lake Loop is around 1 mile long and is rated as easy. This trail connects to the Flower Lake Loop, which is slightly shorter and has a 500 feet elevation. The entire hike of both loops should take about 2 hours.
