Life-sized Bronze Beauty

Girl in a Wetsuit is a life-sized bronze sculpture created by Elek Imredy in 1972. The sculpture sits up on a rock in the water off the coast of Stanley Park.

The sculptor created the piece to depict a friend wearing a wetsuit with flippers on her feet and a mask on her head, staring back across the shoreline from her seat on the rock.

The bronze landmark can be clearly seen from Stanley Park's famous Seawall, and is one of many unique sculptures and monuments erected around the park for visitors and locals to enjoy.
