The Burrard Dry Dock Pier is Vancouver's largest pier. At 700 feet long, the pier offers panoramic 360-degree views of the North Shore and Vancouver skylines, and is a tribute to the city's ship building history and long maritime heritage.
For most of the 20th century the bottom of Lonsdale Avenue was the home of the largest shipyard in Western Canada. In recent times, the only remnants of the ship building industry are the old rusty frameworks of the shipyard building.
The pier is around a five minute walk from the Lonsdale Quay and is a great family-friendly destination, especially when there are large naval ships docked at the wharf.
